General Terms and Conditions

Wayne Sturt is Trading as East Sussex Medical Events Service and is treated as one and the same for the purposes of conditions of trade.

Payment

In order to provide the best possible service, clients are asked to pay the full fee within 30 days of the invoice date*. We understand and will exercise our statutory right to claim interest and compensation for debt recovery costs under the late payment legislation if we are not paid according to our agreed terms.

Any account falling into arrears will be put on credit stop and all business with that customer shall cease until such time as the account is paid up to date

East Sussex Medical Events Service reserves the right to retain certificates or services until payment has been received in full.

We accept Cash, Cheque, Bank Transfer and Credit Card payments (via PayPal)

Credit card payments are subject to a 3.5% handling charge

*Subject to status. Excludes Medical Cover / Transport and Escort Services

Booking Conformation

If you have not received confirmation of your booking a week before the course or event, please contact us to make sure it has been received.

Personal belongings

We cannot be held responsible for any personal belongings.

Payment

Payment for medical cover will be due 7 days before the event start date unless agreed in advance with Wayne Sturt

Cancellations

Cancellation of medical cover services less than 24 hours before the due start will be invoiced at the full cost, 48 hours 50% and cancellations with less than 7 days notice will be invoiced at 25% of agreed cost.

Mileage

Mileage is worked out using the best route according to AA Route planning and will form the basis of any charges relating to distance.

Charges

For Medical Cover the standard day rate is valid up to 10 hours on site, taken from when the customer requests us to be there until they release us, overtime is charged per hour, or any part of hour after the 10 hours.

Customers paying an hourly rate for cover are charged per hour or part hour base to base. (Brighton)

Abuse of Staff

East Sussex Medical Events Service reserve the right to refuse to treat or transport any persons who are acting in an aggressive or abusive manor. We will prosecute any persons who assault our staff.

Documentation

Course documentation is issued only to those who attend the sessions.

Changes to the course programme

In the unlikely event of East Sussex Medical Events Service cancelling or postponing a course, our liability will be limited to a full refund of any fee paid.

Possible reasons might be:

• ·          The course trainer is unable to continue teaching and no suitably qualified replacement trainer is available

• ·          The course venue is deemed unsuitable or unsafe and no suitable alternative is available

•             The course is not viable due to low numbers attending

Where possible, every effort will be made to re-schedule at the earliest possible convenience of the parties concerned

Withdrawal from courses

Should you need to cancel a place on a course the following scale of refunds will apply

75% Refund for cancellation within 3 months of the course

50% Refund for cancellation within 2 Months of the course

No refunds are given for cancellations by delegates within 1 Month of the course, or who fail to attend. The agreed course fee will still remain due.

Additions/substitutions

It may be possible to include additional delegates at the start of a course, (usually at the discretion of the trainer and provided the course has not reached its number restrictions). It is acceptable to substitute for those who fail to attend.

Cancellations - (In House only)

Organisations may obtain a full refund or exemption of the fee due for a course, provided a written request is received at least 14 days before the start of the course. Cancellation after this time will incur the full cost of the course according to our current published price list.

Disabled access/learning support provision

Please contact the Course Co-ordinator at the earliest opportunity to discuss your requirements.

Loss/damage to property or equipment

The cost of repair or replacement of any East Sussex Medical Events Service property damaged or lost whilst on loan to a delegate shall, on demand, be paid to East Sussex Medical Events Service by the delegate responsible or their company.
